As soon as they launched it, the domestic violence shelters around the country had to be extra-vigilant until the feds intervened. (The addresses are protected by federal law.) Also, from a stalking standpoint, it's SCARY. Since being contacted by a blog stalker, I've had to go through every single post on my blog and change names of family members, indentifying info about where I live and work, etc. It's not perfect, but it's better. If someone wants to find me, they probably could with a little work, but I'm trying to make it a little bit more difficult. Be careful.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5134729.post-41959185150109785232008-05-30T14:15:00.000-06:002008-05-30T14:15:00.000-06:00Thanks for the Google tip. But I think it's harmless. It's not real time footage. If someone really wanted to do something bad to me (or anyone else), they could do it whether they had this picture online or not. I think anyway.

It would be really cool if they would do other countries,Europe especailly. I think it could be really handy while traveling.Kirstenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08304618167534557346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5134729.post-67831592984351084612008-05-30T09:38:00.000-06:002008-05-30T09:38:00.000-06:00that is both cool and creepy!that is both cool and creepy!Ann-Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13792824256181216637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5134729.post-89480679605443865752008-05-30T03:40:00.000-06:002008-05-30T03:40:00.000-06:00It's a shame Google's only doing the states though...It's a shame Google's only doing the states though...
The closest you can get in Europe, on Google Maps, is with a picture someone took (often a blurry pixelated version of the most un-interesting building in the neighbourhood), and posted it to google...

But when I look at what's already available, street-view-wize in the Us, wow! Quite amazing. And indeed fun to browse around on.

Just a small reflection though; how do you feel about this street view thingy, really?
How about those villains, those wrongdoers, using this, without doubt, very cool technology, to work out the plans for their next 'action'...?
Or am I being too critical about it?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06186537181430410425noreply@blogger.com
