Fines range from $100 to $500; and remember; a conviction for passing a school bus illegally usually means an increase in insurance rates." Great, just what I need a $100-$500 fine and a higher monthly insurance rate. Since I did commit the crime, I can only hope that the bus driver didn't write down the information.
I really didn't realize traffic in BOTH directions was required to stop. I felt pretty bad about not stopping when I got the large honk. It was a feeling of guilt and shame for not realizing what I was doing wrong. But let my pain be a lesson for you. I am sure from now on I will be totally anal about stopping when the red lights on busses are flashing.
